🚧 Drumright Public Schools Construction Update! 🚧 Exciting progress is happening across our district! Here’s what’s new: 👷‍♂️ Ag Shop: Meetings with our civil engineer and construction manager are underway to start building the new ag shop on campus! 🏟️ Athletic Complex: New sewer lines are being installed for the concession, locker rooms, and public restroom areas. 🎉 Activity Center: Big strides are being made! Wall tiles start Monday, geothermal systems are nearing completion, and AV equipment installation begins later this month. Plus, lockers, player benches, and concession equipment have been ordered. 🏈 Football: Final touches on the press box are being made, and a brand-new stadium sound system is being installed. We’re repurposing the field lights for the safety of our students and spectators. ⚾️ Baseball & Softball: Construction on the baseball press box will begin soon, followed by new sound and broadcasting systems for both baseball and softball complexes. The OU’s K20 GEAR UP grant, which is a part of a federally funded program, offers several advantages to students and families. Academic Support: Students receive additional academic support such as mentoring, after-school programs, and enrichment activities to improve their performance and confidence. Financial Assistance: Families benefit from information and resources on financial aid, scholarships, and college funding options, which can help alleviate the financial burden of higher education. Parental Engagement: The program often includes workshops and resources for parents to better support their children's educational journey and understand the college application process. Career Exploration: Students gain access to career exploration activities and guidance, helping them to understand various career paths and the educational requirements for their chosen fields. Long-term Impact: By fostering early college and career readiness, the grant helps increase the likelihood of high school graduation and successful college enrollment, ultimately supporting long-term academic and career success. Overall, the GEAR UP grant aims to improve educational outcomes and increase access to higher education for underrepresented students and their families.

This google form is for all students who want to ride on the Pep Bus along with cheer and band to the football game in Garber on September 6th. Students who sign up must be in good academic and disciplinary standing. Tickets are $5. You will also need money for concessions. The bus will be leaving from the HS at 4:30 PM sharp and will be back around 11:30 P.M.
