With the heat index being extreme for the upcoming week, we wanted to notify our community about our precautions and remind students what they can do to stay hydrated. All students are always welcome to bring water bottles to school to stay hydrated throughout the day. We will have water on the buses in the afternoon for the students who ride our buses. Bradley Elementary teachers are making plans to have alternative activities to avoid the heat. Our coaches are preparing for minimal time in the direct heat (short sessions). We will have ice towels and additional water on hand as well. Our Drumright Fire Department will have an additional first responder on staff in the event one is needed. Thank you as always for working with our staff to keep our students safe!
Tornado of the Week
Starting this year students in the junior high and high school will be following the Tornado Standard. The Tornado Standard emphasizes teamwork, respect, discipline, and helping/giving back to our community. Throughout the year, students will be participating in charity drives, participating in community events, and showcasing what being a Tornado means.
If you know of an outstanding 7-12th grade student who is demonstrating the "Tornado Standard", please nominate them by sending an email to jbray@drumright.k12.ok.us detailing how the student has demonstrated our Tornado standard.
Drumright Cross Country Meet will be Saturday beginning at 8:45. Come out and support our great athletes as they run bright and early! Go Tornadoes!
